It was completed in 1955 and was originally a slaughterhouse and production building before it was converted into an office, outlet, etc.
During 2013-2014, the building was completely rehabilitated with, among other things, additional insulation, new windows, a new roof, and new technical facilities. This upgrade has made the building significantly more energy efficient. The central building is now classified in energy class D.
The building is centrally located next to the main access roads to Tønsberg with a short distance to the city centre and pier.
The property is closely connected to public transport with only a few minutes walk to the bus stop. Rustadbrygga in Horten, where you can take the ferry to Moss, is a 25-minute drive from Kjelleveien 21. Torp Airport, where there are departures to most major cities in Norway, is 24 minutes away.
